Sara has been cooking since the tender age of 5 when she mixed random ingredients from her mother's kitchen into one bowl and called it a meal. Thankfully, her culinary skills have improved since then and at the Natural Gourmet Institute, she learned more about a health supportive way of cooking. Her best experience as a chef was at a farm in upstate New York, where she taught children how to cook a farm-to-table meal in the most literal sense. Working with vegetables from their very own garden in the peak growing season was just delicious!
Since then, she has been teaching children and adults in a number of different venues including schools, kitchens, and camps. As a personal chef, she has worked in multiple homes with a variety of dietary restrictions.
SWK tries to support local farmers and purchase seasonal produce and healthy high quality ingredients whenever possible. I also understand that everyone has different dietary needs and restrictions, so I can tailor any menu to be gluten-free, vegan, vegetarian or dairy-free. If you have any other restrictions because of religion, lifestyle choice, or allergies, I'm happy to work with you to create a menu that meets your needs.
